    Love these shears!

    I bought these shears based on the reviews. I have short hair that is really thick. Sometimes my stylist does not thin it enough on the front and sides. With just a few quick snips I am able to remove enough hair to allow me to style it the way I want. They’re easy to use, and very sharp. Well worth the money. Glad I made the purchase!

    Tooth bent during first use.

    I purchased these thinning shears last week along with a pair of cutting shears ( which are GREAT). In the middle of thinning out the one and only customer, I got to use them on the stopped closing. After some investigation I noticed that one of the teeth was obstructing the cutting blade. I'm a really upset about it. I'm thinking of ordering another pair but I'm afraid this will happen again.

    Great, but take care with storage

    The only issue that I have is the ease with which the teeth can be deformed, preventing the shears from closing fully.After letting my hair grow out for the first 10 months of the pandemic, I needed a trim. Badly. When unexpectedly successful at cutting my hair with a beard trimmer, I decided to cut my own hair going forward. I invested in a nice set of clippers and then shears for some detail work.I started with these thinning shears. They’re great, extremely effective.I then purchased a pair of regulars shears from the same brand. They came with a case. I stored the thinning shears in the second spot within the case, and then tucked the case inside the top of a case for the clippers, which separated the top and bottom with a layer of foam. When I closed the case, there was slight tension on the zipper. To my dismay, that proved to be enough to deform the teeth of the thinning shears so that they could not close more than halfway.I was able to repair the thinning shears easily enough. I loosened the screw holding the two sides together, pressed gently into he problem teeth, and then tightened the shears back up until they performed as recommended in the accompanying literature.The repair was simple enough, but I was very surprised that the teeth were so malleable. They deformed with no more than the tension exerted by zipper closure of a case.I chalk it up as a defect in my care of the shears rather than in the shears themselves.
